CLARKESVILLE, Ga. - The Methodist women's golf team took a commanding lead after round one and finished with a 53 stroke win at the Piedmont Spring Invitational.
The Monarchs shot 669 (338-331) in the two round event, ahead of host Piedmont College finishing with a 722 (359-363).
Andrea Daly led the 46 golfers with a 164 (81-83) to finish with the individual win.
Taylor Lanning was just two strokes behind at 166 (84-82) and
Allyson Burak took fourth place with a 169 (85-84).
Kaitlyn Sharpless placed sixth at 172 (88-84) and
Holly Shupe tied for seventh at 174 (92-82).
The team will host a tri-match with St. Mary's of Indiana and Olivet College on Friday.
