FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for baseball. A total of 47 student-athletes have been named to the USA South All-Conference team with nine Monarchs recognized by the conference.
Five Methodist players were named First Team selections.
Brian Halpin (2B),
Brian Inghram (SS),
Trey Such (C),
Matt Quick (OF), and
Rusty White (RP). Inghram leads the team with a .385 batting average and 39 RBI. Such is right behind him batting .384 with 36 RBI so far this season. Halpin hit .339 on the season. White has had a strong season on the mound in relief earning three wins and picking up six saves with a 2.35 ERA.
Shawn Lovette (3B) and
Kurt Kelly (P) are Second Team honorees while
Brian Goodwin (OF) and
Landon Jordan (P) was a Honorable Mention selection.
Also, the USA South recognized an All-Sportsmanship Team, consisting of one member from each competing school. All honors were determined by votes from the baseball coach at each institution.
Brian Goodwin was chosen to recognize Methodist.
