ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Methodist University baseball team has moved up to No. 26 in the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Collegiate Baseball national poll.
The Monarchs moved up two spots in the second poll of the season by the ABCA. St. Thomas (Minn.) held on to the No. 1 team spot in the poll, receiving all eight first-place votes. Methodist, ranked 26th, is 20-8 overall and 8-4 in the USA South Athletic Conference this season.
This is one of two recognized Division III polls. Methodist has also received in this week's NCBWA/D3baseball.com poll.
Methodist finished USA South conference play with a sweep of Greensboro this past weekend and will take the road to play Guilford today and Lynchburg tomorrow. The Monarchs will be back to host Emory this weekend.
