SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. - In the final round of the Ross Resorts Invitational, the Methodist women's golf team shot a 325 to finish at 949 (318-306-325) to place sixth in the 10-team field.
Tournament host, Rollins College, won the tournament with an 897 (300-301-296) on the par 72 course at Mid Pines. Nova Southeastern University finished in second seven strokes off the lead.
Methodist senior
Susan Martin finished up with a 79 to place 10th overall at 230 (80-71-79) and junior
Gretchen McLean shot 235 (80-74-81) to tie for 19th. Junior
Paige Caldwell shot 240 (78-81-81) to tie for 27th and senior
Alana Swain tied for 38th at 246 (80-82-84). Sophomore
Kelsey Magnine finished up in a tie for 42nd at 247 (80-80-87).
The Methodist women have concluded their fall season but will open up the spring portion of the schedule Mar. 8-9.
