Methodist Shuts Out Farmingdale State

Box Score FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - The Methodist men's soccer team picked up their first win of the year with a 3-0 shutout over Farmingdale State on Sunday.

Darren Wilson scored what would be the game-winner with a goal in the 11th minute of play on the cross across the front of goal from Eric McGinnis. McGinnis notched a goal of his own just before halftime off of a defensive misclear by the Rams. McGInnis added an insurance goal in the 89th minute to give Methodist the 3-0 win.

The Monarchs dominated the contest out shooting Farmingdale State 15-1. Kyle Beach and Patrick Hamel combined in goal for the shutout with Hamel making one save.

Methodist will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Barton College for a 7 p.m. kick off.
