WAGRAM, N.C. The Methodist women's golf "B" and "C" teams competed in the Deercroft Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. The "B" team Monarchs earned a second-place finish, while the "C" team Monarchs finished in fifth out of six teams.

Top individuals: 1 – Trinity Ahing, Sandhills Community College (76-72–148, +4), 2 – Elise Forberg, Georgia Military College (77-74–151, +7), 3 – Jasmine Yang, Eastern Florida State (77-77–154, +10)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jenna Rutledge was the top Methodist finisher, tying for sixth place at 15-over par. Her +5 performance on Tuesday (including three birdies) lifted her from 13th on the leaderboard following her round one score of +10.
- In a four-way tie for 11th place, Marybeth Gainer posted a two-day total of +22. She improved four strokes between the first and second rounds, shooting 13-over par on Monday and 9-over par on Tuesday.
- A trio of Methodist golfers found themselves near the middle of the pack. Alexandra Fox (+25), Megan Kestner (+27) and Jazlyn Segura (+28) finished the invitational in 16th, 17th and T18th respectively. Kestner (89-82-171) improved by seven strokes from round one to round two.
- Three more Monarchs found themselves together on the final leaderboard as Emily Skowronski (+31) finished in 21st, just ahead of Jamie Rush and Elizabeth Franchetti, who tied for 22nd at 33-over par. All three played better on the second day of the invitational, as Skowronski and Rush recorded five fewer strokes on Tuesday while Franchetti recorded three fewer.
- Rounding out Methodist's participants were Joey Rou Yun, who recorded a +52 on the event (good enough for 28th place), and Chloe Kraus, who posted a +14 in the first round but did not compete on day two.
