Steven Floyd earning Men's Soccer Player of the Week and freshman
Charleigh Anne Hewett named Volleyball Rookie of the Week.
Floyd played a pivotal role in helping the Monarchs post a 0-0-2 record in USA South play, tallying two goals and two assists across both matches. Against undefeated Pfeiffer University, Floyd delivered the equalizer in the 85th minute to force a 2-2 draw, securing a key point for Methodist in the conference standings. He continued his strong form at Brevard, factoring into all three Monarch goals in a 3-3 draw—scoring once and assisting on the other two.
Hewett turned in an impressive week for the Monarchs, averaging 11.33 assists and 3.82 digs per set while guiding Methodist to a 1-2 record against league opponents. The freshman setter opened the week with a career-best double-double—posting 52 assists and 21 digs in the match versus Meredith. She followed with another double-double at Salem, collecting 37 assists and 14 digs. Hewett capped her week in the Monarchs' home win over William Peace, dishing out a game-high 47 assists while adding nine digs defensively.
