FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Methodist men's basketball took on Athletes in Action on Monday night in an exhibition.  

The Athletes in Action team took an early lead and cruised to the 45-25 advantage at halftime.  Methodist battled through the second half, but Athletes in Action prevailed for the 85-51 win.

Sophomore Joshua Crumpler led the Monarchs with nine points and 11 rebounds.  Junior Tyler Sigman and freshman Mark Jernigan added eight points a piece.

Travis Lay led Athletes in Action with 17 points.

The Monarchs open their season Nov. 15 against Virginia Wesleyan at 2 pm.
