FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - After a scoreless first half, the Methodist women's soccer team scored four goals to shutout N.C. Wesleyan 4-0.

Freshman Ally Feller started the scoring with a goal in the 51st minute.  In the 74th minute, junior Whitney Roberson had a shot saved, but freshman Marissa Kuzbyt was there for the rebound and scored the Monarchs' second goal.  Just four minutes later, freshman Jillian Reed was fouled in the box and converted a penalty kick for the 3-0 lead.  Freshman Christine Ellington then fed Roberson for the header goal to finish the scoring.

Sophomore Kasey Nichols had three saves for the Monarchs.  Bryanne Godfrey and Sarah Hess combined for nine saves for the Bishops.

The Monarchs will face the winner of Meredith at Ferrum on Friday at Christopher Newport.
