RALEIGH, N.C. - Meredith College took a 1-0 halftime lead before finishing with the 4-0 win over the Methodist University women's soccer team.
The Angels took the lead on a penalty kick in the 11th minute. Methodist had four shots in the first half, but trailed 1-0 at halftime. Meredith scored two goals in a 30-second span in the 52nd minute to go ahead by three before scoring their final goal in the 77th minute of play.
Methodist finished with three shots on goal compared to Meredith's six. The Monarchs' goalkeeper
Kasey Nichols finished with two saves.
Methodist will be back in action on Sunday when they play at Peace College at 2 p.m.
