FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Methodist University Lionette Dancers are selling pink hair extensions this week to support the Pink Zone initiative building towards the big event Saturday, Feb. 5. 

The Monarchs essentially glue the hair using a flat iron adding a special recognition for the upcoming Pink Zone women's basketball game. For the past three seasons, Methodist University women's basketball has hosted a "Pink Zone" event to raise funds for breast cancer awareness.  All 2011 proceeds will be donated to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation Friends of the Cancer Center.
