Box Score FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College scored with under 10 minutes to play in edging the Methodist women's soccer team, 2-1, on Saturday afternoon.
The Monarchs (6-11, 4-5 USA South) began the scoring less than 10 minutes into the contest as
Sean Edwards took a long pass from Kristen Habig and chipped a shot over Catelyn Deaton for 1-0 lead at the 9:00 mark.
Ferrum (7-9, 5-4 USA South) answered quickly as Annabelle Pivarnik scored off an assist from Maryann Castaneda just 2:59 later to knot the game at 1-1. Neither team scored for the next 68 minutes, until FC's Megan Webb scored the game-winner from 20 yards out after taking a pass from Antoinette Roland with 9:53 left to play.

Taylor Ross made one save in 90:00 of play while Deaton made seven saves for the Panthers.
The Monarchs return to action on Sunday when they play at Maryville (Tenn.) at 11:00 am.
