Box Score WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Methodist women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at Salem College on Wednesday afternoon.
The win improved the Spirits to 8-3-0 on the season, while Methodist fell to 5-8-0 on the year.
Tarryn Bundy and Sawyer Ferguson each had a goal and an assist in the first half to lead the Spirits.
Bundy got the scoring started very early in the contest, scoring in the 3rd minute on a pass from Ferguson. I the 21
st minute Ferguson put Salem up 2-0 when Bundy returned the favor and assisted on her goal.
Paige Ketchum played all 90:00 in goal for Salem and earned the shutout as each team recorded 10 shots. Salem held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Monarchs return to action on Friday when they host Meredith. The game, originally scheduled to be played at 3:30 pm, has been moved to 4:00 pm.
