Box Score FAYETTEIVLLE, N.C. - Relying upon an early goal, the Methodist women's soccer team emerged victorious over visiting LaGrange, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon. This marked MU's fourth straight win.
Following over 16 minutes of scoreless play, the Monarchs'
Taylor Cavazos headed the ball into the Panther goal at the 16:22 mark, giving Methodist a one-goal lead that it would not relinquish.
Jessie Oder was credited with an assist on the play.
On the day, the Monarchs (9-6-2, 6-3-1 USA South) held a 7-2 edge over the Panthers (7-9-2, 2-6-2 USA South) in terms of shots.

Sarah Hayden played the first half and earned the victory, making a single save. She was relieved by
Taylor Ross for the entire second period. LaGrange's Chelsea Totaro took the loss, stopping three shots.
The Monarchs will return to their home pitch tomorrow for a showdown with Huntingdon at 1:00 pm.
