Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A pair of first half goals lifted the Methodist women's soccer team to a 2-0 win a Guilford on Wednesday evening at Armfield Athletic Center.

The shutout victory lifted the Monarchs to 1-4 on the season while the Quakers remained winless at 0-6-1.

Methodist opened the scoring in the 11th minute when
Victoria Martins tallied an unassisted goal for an early 1-0 lead.
Deycasha Miller made it 2-0 roughly 11 minutes later when she scored unassisted. For the game, MU outshot Guilford, 14-1, including 6-0 in shots on goal.

Taylor Ross played all 90:00 in goal for the Monarchs and recorded the shutout. She was not forced to make a save. Caitlyn Young played the duration for the Quakers and made four saves.

The Monarchs are back in action on Sunday when they play at Greensboro at 3:00 pm.
