The Monarchs tied things up in the third on and RBI single by Ray Lanners, and then regained the lead, 3-2, in the fourth as Power homered.

A single by Lucas Scott and a sacrifice bunt in the fifth pushed Methodist's lead to 5-2, and the host team answered with a run in the bottom half to put the scoreboard at 5-3.
