FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist got great contributions from its big men as
Sam Mingledoff,
J'Quan Deal and
Kaymon Mitchell combined for 40 of the Monarchs' 67, but that was not enough as Methodist dropped a USA South Athletic Conference game in Riddle Center against visiting Maryville (Tenn.) College, 93-67, Sunday afternoon.
Mitchell's 17 points on nine shots was both efficient and a team-high. However, the difference in the game was the Fighting Scots' bench that added 44 points (led by Emier Bowman's 18 points) for Maryville as three starters and two players off the bench scored in double-digits.
