FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.  Due to inclement weather, Thursday evening's women's soccer match between host Methodist University and William Peace University has been postponed indefinitely and will count as a "no contest."

The two teams had to suspend the match in the opening half due to lightning within the area. Persistent lighting eventually surpassed the ability to complete the contest.

Before the game was postponed, the Monarchs were leading 2-1 with 18 minutes remaining in the period, however, the statistics accrued to that point are erased.

A make-up date for the match has yet to be determined.
