FERRUM, Va. Methodist's men's tennis team downed host Ferrum College, 9-0, Saturday afternoon in a non-conference match, sweeping the doubles action before closing out the match with straight-set victories in each of the six singles bouts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After
Hayden Wilfong and
Joshua Deutsch rolled out an 8-1 victory at 1-doubles, the pairing of
Alex Lycan and
Spencer Kieft added a second point with their 8-3 at No. 3.
E.J. Stolmeijer and
AJ Rogers completed the sweep with their 8-2 triumph at No. 3.
Samir Tewari added the fourth point by a 6-0, 6-0 win over Andrew Meadows at 6-singles, and
Owen Findley clinched the match with his 0 and 1 win at No 5.
Wilfong at No. 1, Stolmeijer at No. 2,
Luke Laney at No. 3and
Max Linder at No. 4 each won in straight sets, allowing the Panthers to capture just a total of five more games.
