RALEIGH, N.C. The Monarchs 2019-20 season came to a close against Saturday afternoon against Meredith College as Methodist was defeated 89-38 in USA South Athletic Conference women's basketball action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emily Ricks led the Monarchs with a team-high eight points, six rebounds, and three assists.
- Kate Perko and Kimberly Schuh put the Avenging Angels on their shoulders in this game. The pair combined for 54 points on 24-of-36 shooting.
- Meredith closed out the first quarter on a 8-0 run and continued that into the second period, scoring the first 12 points of the second frame to take a commanding 38-11 lead.
- The Monarchs' best shooting performance came in the first quarter. Methodist shot 5-of-13 (38.5 percent) for 11 points in the stanza.
- The reserves for Methodist, led by six points each from Tay Hamilton and Trinity Ross, played the Meredith bench to a near-draw, 14-16.

- Tyzarea Alexander finishes the season as the Monarchs' leading scorer and rebounder with an average of 11.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
- Katlin Kendrick's 2.5 assists a game led the team while LeTrice Pearson's average of 1.8 steals a game were a team-high.
- Kadie Snipes has proven herself to be a sharpshooter, shooting 29.3 percent from behind the arc this season. That is 10th in the conference among players who take at least five threes a game.
