ROME, Ga. Dante Burden recorded a pair of impressive stat lines over the weekend in league action to earn USA South Athletic Conference men's basketball player of the week honors, announced Monday morning by the league office.

In Friday's 93-73 road win over William Peace University, Burden recorded his first career double-double and came within one rebound of a triple-double as he posted 18 points and career-high totals of 12 assists, nine rebounds, and four blocks. In Sunday's home opener against the Pacers, Burden had 22 points, seven assists, six rebounds, and four steals in the 83-80 come-from-behind victory.

Methodist's next game is at home against Pfeiffer University on Friday, January 29 at 4:30 p.m. On Sunday, January 31, the Monarchs travel to Misenheimer, N.C., as the Falcons play host at 5 p.m.
