GREENSBORO, N.C. Despite a season-high 19 points from the Monarchs'
Tyzarea Alexander, Greensboro College defeated visiting Methodist women's basketball, 93-53, in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Monarchs' best offensive output came in the second quarter. Methodist scored 20 points with Aniyah Tate and Kadie Snipes providing six points each in the quarter and Alexander and Jessica Drake scoring four in the frame. Unfortunately, Greensboro scored 28 points in the second frame, extending its lead to 52-29 into intermission.
- The fourth quarter was Alexander's as she scored nine of the 12 points in the fourth for Methodist. Making her first appearance in collegiate basketball, Halie Yi scored her first career points with a three-pointer in the period.
- The 24-9 deficit that Methodist faced entering the second quarter proved to be too large of a hole to climb back from.
GAME NOTES
- Alexander had a team-high eight rebounds, as well. Snipes finished with nine points, along with team-high totals of three assists and three steals. Tate finished with eight points.
- Iness Knox and Karli Mason combined for 43 points for Greensboro.
- The Pride outscored Methodist, 34-9 in points off of turnovers.
