HOW IT HAPPENED
- In doubles, Methodist could only secure one win out of the three matches, with Jordan Theron and Quinn McNamara winning 8-1.
- For the second day in a row duo Henry Murray and Luke Laney experienced another tough match-up as they went into another tie breaker, coming up short 7-5 to Stan Martherus and Jay Trip.
- In the singles matches the lone win came from Theron as he defeated his opponent Jorge Figueroa 6-1 and 6-2.
- Murray put up a strong fight against Martherus in his second meeting of the day. He went extra points in the first set and lost 7-5 but ran out of steam in the second set to lose 6-1.

This concludes Methodist's regular season as the team secured the No. 4 seed of the east in USA South and will next travel to Rome, Georgia for the men's tennis USA South Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament, facing off with the No. 1 seed of the west, Covenant College, on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
