HOW IT HAPPENED
- In doubles play, Matthew Hurley and Wills Belser fought their way to an 8-2 win, defeating Pfeiffer's top duo.
- Hurley won the top singles match for the Monarchs, knocking his opponent out with two 6-2 sets.
- On the second court, Belser lost the first set 6-4 before redeeming himself with a 6-2 win in the second set. He won the ten-point tiebreaker 10-3 to take the match.
- Andrew Wood played a competitive match from the third spot, suffering set losses of 6-3 and 7-5. On the fifth court, Will Trocchi lost his opening set 6-1, but hung tight in the second set before ultimately falling 7-5.
