FERRUM, Va. With a 9-0 victory over Ferrum College on Wednesday, the Methodist men's tennis team recorded its fifth sweep in its last six contests. The Monarchs sailed past the Panthers in their penultimate non-conference match of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Matthew Hurley and Wills Belser earned an 8-0 win in the top doubles spot, while Cameron Roth and Andrew Wood collected an 8-0 victory in the No. 2 doubles match as well. On the third court, Royce South and Brady Mendler grinded out an 8-6 win to keep the Monarchs unbeaten in the doubles round.
- In the No. 1 singles match, Hurley handily defeated Ferrum's No.1 player with two sets of 6-1.
- Competing as Methodist's second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth players respectively, Belser, Wood, Roth, Evan Kane, and Mendler all secured sweeps over their opponents in the singles round, each earning two set wins of 6-0.
