ROME, Ga. The USA South Athletic Conference announced its 2025 Women's Soccer All-Conference teams on Monday afternoon. From Methodist, midfielder
Brynn Ludka and defender
Daphne Paleocrassas were named to the Second Team, while goalkeeper
Carolina Simpkins earned Honorable Mention recognition. Representing the Monarchs on the league's All-Sportsmanship Team was senior
Kate Herndon.
Hailing from Ashland, Massachusetts, Ludka earned her first postseason honor of her collegiate career after appearing in all 16 games with 14 starts. The freshman finished the year tied for third on the team in points (six), scoring one goal and adding four assists. Against Pfeiffer University, Ludka had a breakout performance–netting her first collegiate goal and recording her first multi-assist match with two helpers.
Also earning her first postseason accolade was Paleocrassas, who started all 16 games as a mainstay in the center of the Monarch's back line. A sophomore from Raleigh, North Carolina, she anchored the defense and also contributed offensively, scoring a goal in the matchup against Averett University.
For Simpkins, the 2025 season marked her third career postseason honor. The Sanford, North Carolina, native made 11 appearances in goal with 10 starts, leading the team with 34 saves, while her 1.42 goals-against average was fifth-best in the conference. Of Methodist's five shutouts this season, Simpkins was in goal for three of them.
