HOW IT HAPPENED
- William Peace started the game on a 6-0 run before Hicks recorded the first Monarch points. Eventually, a Kayleen Grullon three-point play was the driving force of a 9-0 Methodist run, which also put the Monarchs in front 14–13. The lone quarter William Peace would win was the opening period as the Pacers outscored Methodist to take a 17–14 advantage.
- An Alayna Randolph three-pointer to begin the second quarter put William Peace up by three, but then the Monarchs recorded ten straight points to go up 24–20. It was also during that run when Hicks registered her 1,000th career point. Both teams would register their own 7-0 run before halftime to bring the score to 31–27, in favor of Methodist.
- Recorded the first basket of the third quarter for the Pacers was Shania Taylor, getting her team back within two of the score until the Monarchs made four of their next six field goals, stretching their lead to an 11-point difference, 40–29. Making a splash for Methodist were Serenity Webb and Alyssa Shazer, as both knocked down a three-pointer to extend their team's lead to 50–38 at the end of the third.
- In the fourth quarter, the Monarchs outscored William Peace 30-7. Aneesa Irizarry and Destiny Richardson scored most of Methodist's points in the period. Irizarry registered seven of the first nine Monarch points followed by Richardson, who recorded four straight baskets, including three triples.
