Records: Methodist 12–7; Meredith 18–3
Location: Meredith College; Raleigh, North Carolina

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • It was an exciting opening quarter, with the scoring being a one-goal difference. After the Avenging Angels recorded the first goal, Methodist came back to score the next two, by Maddie Hagler and Kennedy Martin, to put the Monarchs in front 2–1. Midway through the frame, Meredith tied it 2–2 until Kaitlyn Coleman found the back of the cage to give Methodist the edge again. In the last 30 seconds of the period, the Avenging Angels scored twice to put them in the lead, 4–3, for the first time since the start of the quarter.
  • From the second quarter on, the Monarchs could not keep up with Meredith's high-powered offense, as Methodist was shut out in the second and third quarters, while the Avenging Angels scored 15 more goals.
  • In the fourth quarter, Meredith outscored the Monarchs 3-1, with Mikayla Ramos scoring the lone Methodist goal.
