WINSTON–SALEM, N.C. Keeping with the current trend, the Methodist women's soccer team posted another tie on Saturday, this time playing the Salem College Spirits to a nil–nil draw. It's the team's fourth tie in a row as the Monarchs still remain unbeaten through seven games this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Methodist dominated possession and was able to fire 16 shots towards the goal in the first half. Nine of those were on target, but all nine were saved by Salem goalkeeper Michaela Iapaluccio.
- The second half unfolded in similar fashion for the Monarchs as they once again controlled the pace. Despite taking 16 more shots, Methodist was shut out with Iapaluccio recording seven more saves to keep the Monarchs of the board.
- In goal for Methodist, Kaylea Carter stopped both shots on goal, holding the Spirits to zero goals also.
NUMBERS
- Alex Hyde led the team with eight shots, followed by Allye Carter's six. Both players put three shots on goal along with Kate Herndon, who did so in just three shot attempts.
- The Monarchs were unable to convert on any of their season–high 11 corner kicks.
