Berkeley Springs, WVa. – The 2026-27 campaign has officially begun for the Methodist University women's golf team, as six Monarchs would hit the links for day one of two of the Shenandoah University Women's Fall Invitational at Cacapon Golf Club on Saturday afternoon. Wrapping up day one's round this morning due to darkness yesterday, the Monarchs currently hold tied for fifth of 16 teams heading into the final round.

OPENING ROUND
- Senior Anna Wicklum led the way for the Monarchs, firing a 78 (+6) through 18 holes of action, dominating the back nine from a seven-hole par run.
- Junior Kiley Donovan collected a birdie on the par-4 sixth, eventually logging an 82 (+10) on the day with an additional par stretch of four holes on the back-nine.
- Junior Paige Wilkinson collected the most birdies out of any Monarch, occurring on the par-4 sixth and the par-4 thirteenth to record an 82 (+10) at the conclusion of day one.
- Junior Cloe Rich finished as the remaining Methodist player to count for the day one team score, firing an 84 (+12) with a birdie on the par-4 sixth.
- Sophomore Julia Hashem narrowly missed counting for the Monarchs team score, collecting an 85 (+13) with a birdie on the par-4 second.
- Sophomore JaycieKate Lowery is competing in the tournament for Methodist as an individual, marking out with two birdies on the par-5 eleventh and the par-3 fifteenth to fire an 84 (+12) in round one.
