Spectator Entrance Requirements

  • Spectators for home outdoor athletic contests will be limited to two tickets per student-athlete.
  • Methodist will reserve two tickets per participating student-athlete for those who they choose to attend outdoor athletic events for their particular sport.
  • All events will require a ticket.
  • Student-athletes can put two names on the ticket list for each contest. If your name is not on the list you will not be allowed to attend the contest. Before coming to campus, please confirm with your student-athlete that your name is on the list.
  • Methodist University students, faculty, and staff will be allowed to attend on a first-come, first-served basis until the venue has reached the capacity limit. Capacity limits will be based on the ability to maintain social distancing, as advised by health officials, in the different athletic venues. Students, Faculty, and Staff will need to show their MU ID Card at the venue entrance.
  • No other spectators will be allowed on the MU campus.
  • No fans of visiting teams will be allowed on the MU campus.
  • Spectators will not be allowed to enter the athletic venue until 15 minutes prior to the event.

Will Call - Tickets

  • Each head coach must submit a ticket list to the Athletics Office not later than 24 hours BEFORE the game, which will be used for check-in on the day of the event. After the ticket list is turned in it will be considered final and no changes will be made. If a ticket list is not submitted 24 hours prior to the contest, no home team spectators will be permitted.
  • Those people who have been selected for the two student-athlete tickets must pick up those tickets at the Will Call location upon entering campus. Follow the signs to the Will Call location when you arrive on campus. You must show your ID to receive your tickets. After receiving your tickets at the Will Call location you may proceed to the athletic venue. You will need to present your tickets at the gate to gain admission to the event.

Spectator Protocols and Guidelines

  • Everyone must wear masks at all times (over their nose and mouth) and stay socially distant (a minimum of six feet) from other spectators or they will be asked to leave. Failure by event attendees to comply with institutional or conference policies may lead to the suspension and/or termination of the contest.
  • Spectators may not interact with team members or coaching staff members before, during or after the contest. When the contest is over, spectators must immediately exit the venue. Spectators must also stay away from locker room areas before, during and after the contest.
  • No tailgating before, during or after the contest.
  • No food will be allowed in the venue.
  • No pets will be allowed in the venue.
  • Bleacher seating will be spaced out for social distancing. We encourage spectators to bring their own lawn chairs so they can spread out at our venues. Many of our athletic venues have space in grass areas where spectators can sit in their own lawn chairs.
