Biography

2022: Appeared in 16 games as a junior for the Monarchs … came in as a reliever in 27 innings … registered a record of 1-1 along with two saves … recorded an ERA of 5.00, WHIP of 1.52, along with 25 strikeouts from the 110 batters … his lone win came in the game against Southern Virginia after coming in as a relief for three innings, allowing only two hits and striking out three batters to hold the Knights scoreless.

2021: Made six appearances for a total of 6.1 innings for MU.

2020: Two appearances on the mound for a total of two innings as a freshman for MU.

High School: Varsity letter winner in baseball his junior and senior years at Union Pines HS … earned team’s Cy Young Award his senior year when also earning all-conference honor … two-year letter winner in swimming, qualifying for regionals and state championships both years.

Personal: Son of Nancy and Billy Freeland Jr. … majoring in physical education and health education.
