Woods was officially announced as Head Cheer Coach at Methodist in April 2018 after assuming the role of Interim Cheer Coach for MU in August of 2017.

In her first official season as Head Cheer Coach, Woods led Methodist to a national championship at CANAM Nationals in the Open Coed division with a winning score of 81.4.

She had previously served as assistant coach before assuming the interim role. Woods was a member of the Monarch cheer squad before graduating from Methodist in 2010.
