Bill Dunn

Bill Dunn begins his sixth year as Assistant Track and Field Coach for the Methodist Monarchs and was named the Head Cross Country Coach in the summer of 2009.

Over the past five years, Dunn has shown his knowledge and passion for distance running. All of the middle and long distance runners have set personal bests while Kristy Zeiler finished her career as a two-time USA South Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year and five-time Mason Dixon Conference Champion in track and field.

Prior to joining forces with Ross and becoming an assistant track coach, Bill Dunn's coaching career started in 2002 when he began working with several youth organizations such as the Carolina Eagles Track and Field Club and the Track Xplosion Track and Field Club. His passion for developing athletes ranging from four year olds to adults has made him a well known force within the USA Track and Field and AAU track and field community. He has assisted in the development and coaching of more than ten Junior Olympic National Champions. His expertise in mid-distance and long-distance running made him the perfect fit for Methodist University.

Bill Dunn attended High School in Kinston, N.C. were he was a stand out track athlete. After graduation he attended Shawnee State University. He also did his tour of duty in the US Navy before returning to North Carolina. Coach Dunn has his USATF Level 1 certification. He currently resides in Raleigh, N.C.
