Ben Ganus comes to Methodist University from Huntingdon College where he spent the past two years as the running backs and tight ends coach. During his time there, Huntingdon running backs rushed for 3,250 yards and 43 touchdowns while maintaining a five yards per carry average. Huntingdon College running backs also accumulated 411 yards receiving and six touchdowns, while the tight ends amassed 35 catches for 656 yards and six touchdowns.
Ganus helped develop two USA-South All-Conference selections in running back Garrett Fletcher and tight end Darius Dawsey, and one All-South Region selection in running back Trevor Manuel while there. The Huntingdon College offense finished the 2013 season ranked first in the country in average total offense per game, averaging 585 yards per contest which also set the new NCAA Division III record.
Prior to his stint at Huntingdon College, Ganus spent two years at Waldorf College where he served as the running backs and fullbacks coach. Ganus helped develop two MSFA All-Conference selections at running back during his time there.
Ganus received his bachelor's degree in Human Performance from Huntingdon College. As a player at Huntingdon, Ganus was a two-year starter at fullback for the Hawks and was a member of the 2009 NCAA Division III Playoff team which also led the country in average total offense per game. He is currently working towards completing his MBA in Sports Administration from Columbia Southern University.
Coach Ganus is a native of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and currently resides in Fayetteville.
