Coach Mason joined the Monarchs softball program in 2018 as an Assistant Softball Coach.
His various responsibilities include overseeing infielders, working with the Monarch hitters and assisting with Monarch softball camp programs.
Coach Mason comes to the Monarchs staff after coaching at various levels of travel and school softball to include the 18&U National VA Glory Team National team, Grays Creek Middle School culminating with a two-year stint as a high school coach at Freedom Christian Academy where it finished as NCISAA 2A State Champions and State Runners-Up. Coach Mason is honored to have been a small part in former players working hard and continuing to play to achieve their dreams of competing at the next level in collegiate softball. Coach Mason also coaches the U.S. All Army Men’s Softball Team.
Coach Mason has played at the highest level of softball to include numerous years at the Men’s Super Major Division and the All Army Team for 10 years, and was selected as the Team Captain of the All Army Team for five years.
Coach Mason was selected numerous times and played for Team USA and the All Armed Forces Team.

Coach Mason has a Bachelor’s degree in organizational management and an Associates degree in criminal justice. Coach Mason is currently active duty in the U.S. Army and loves volunteering and coaching with the Monarch softball program.
Coach Mason is married to Valleri, and they have 3 children -- Alexandra, who lives in Florida; Austin, who lives in North Carolina; and Makenzie, who is a varsity softball player at the University of Connecticut.
