The 2021 outdoor season is Evans' first season coaching at the collegiate level. Prior to the Spring 2021 schedule, she was an All-America thrower at North Carolina State University, a two-time ACC Champion in shot put, and a seven-time All-ACC competitor in shot put (best of 16.96 meters, 55 feet-7 inches) and weight throw (21.01m, 68-11). She holds the hammer throw record at NC State as wel, with a best throw of 58.08 meters (190-7).
