Stacy Holland was hired prior to the 2017 season, returning to her alma-mater to coach alongside Head Coach Cheryl McNair.
Holland is a 2004 graduate of Methodist College with a degree in physical education. She arrived at Methodist after attending Coker College for one year on a basketball scholarship.  With the decision to become a Monarch for the 2001-02 season, Stacy was able to reunite with her older sister, Kelly Holland ’02, for one season. The ‘sister act’ contributed to a successful season which culminated in a Dixie Conference tournament title and an NCAA Division III tournament appearance.
The following two years Holland used her special talents as a perimeter shooter with 3-point range to add to the success of the Lady Monarch program. She is currently tied for the most 3-pointers made in a single game (6).
Holland was a member of consecutive conference-tournament championships, 2002 and 2003, and back-to-back NCAA appearances in those same years. She will be inducted into the Methodist University Hall of Fame as a member of the Women’s Basketball Team of Distinction (2001-02, 2002-03).
Holland has been in the teaching profession in the state of North Carolina since the 2005-06 academic year. She has coached multiple sports at the high school level, including Cape Fear High School and where she is currently teaching, at Smithfield Selma High School.
Holland was born and raised in Johnston County, N.C., and graduated from North Johnston High School in 2000. She currently resides in Smithfield, N.C., and is entering her sixth year teaching physical education at Smithfield Selma.
