Joe is entering is his second year with the Monarchs in 2015. Agiato brings extensive college and youth coaching experience to the Monarchs.
Prior to coming to MU, Agiato helped Mercy College (NCAA Div. II) ascend to the No. 12 team in the country, helping to recruit 22 of the 26 players on the roster. The 2014 team set program records for wins, goals for, and goals against and over his final two seasons, his players earned six all-conference selections, five all-region selections and a pair of All-Americans. The 2014 team also won the East Coast Conference title and went three rounds into the NCAA tournament surpassing the accomplishments of the 2013 team which received the first-ever NCAA tournament bid in Mercy women’s soccer history.
He was part owner of the Long Island Rough Riders professional soccer team and women's W League team where he ran operations and started a youth soccer developmental program under the professional teams. Agiato is the former head coach of several youth soccer teams including the Syosset Sting. The Sting won Eight ENY state titles, two regional championships and reached the USYSA national finals.
Prior to his tenure with the Syosset soccer club, Agiato coached the NY HOTA and the Franklin Square Raiders Soccer Clubs. He brings a total of 17 years of high-level youth soccer coaching experience to the program and is a two-time winner of the Youth Soccer Coach of the Year Award.
Agiato holds NSCAA B, NSCAA National, and Advanced National Licenses. Professionally, he has a bachelor's in accounting and economics from Mount Saint Mary’s University, an MBA with a concentration in finance from Long Island University and a Master's Degree in valuation sciences from Lindenwood University. Agiato is a licensed CPA, CBA, CBV, ASA, and has authored two books.
