Methodist's Vice President and Director of Athletics Dave Eavenson has announced the promotion of Michael Spratt to Sports Information Director, in October of 2021.
Spratt was originally hired as the Assistant Sports Information Director, back in August of 2021, to help promote all 20 varsity sports. He is now task with overseeing game-day operations, the production of athletics publications, managing the Methodist athletic website and social media accounts. He is also in charge of all student assistants and interns in the office.
He arrives at Methodist after spending the 2019-2020 academic year in the same position at Division II Newberry College. While at Newberry, Spratt was the primary contact for women's basketball, men's & women's golf, men's & women's soccer, and softball.
Before Newberry he spent five years at Western New England University, four as a student assistant and one as a postgraduate intern, from 2013-2018. As a student assistant his primary work was assisting with the stats for home athletic events. While as an intern, he was the primary statistician for football and men's & women's basketball programs, while also was in charge of pre- and post-game graphics of all teams.
A native of Blackstone, Massachusetts, Spratt graduated from WNE in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Sport Management. He currently lives in Fayetteville.
