FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - After battling through a five set win at Greensboro, the Methodist volleyball team came back and won 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-15) at home Tuesday night.
Greensboro (5-21, 3-9) scored the first two points of the set but the Monarchs (14-6, 7-5) battled back to take the 12-5 lead. Freshman
Stephanie Wood came through with six kills in the set to help the Monarchs to a 25-13 win.
Both teams exchanged points early in the second set with the score tied at nine. Sophomore
Jalesty Washington came through with consecutive kills and the Monarchs went on a run to win the set 25-16.

Kelsey Yates served four straight points to lead off the third set before the Pride went on a 9-2 run to take the lead. Methodist came back and tied the set at 10 before going on to take the 25-15 win for the match victory.
The Methodist team finished hitting .507 as a team, a season-high. Wood led the team with 16 kills while Washington added 10. Sophomore
Kayci Miller finished with 40 assists and senior
Jordan Grady led with eight digs while Yates added seven.
The Monarchs will travel to Salem on Saturday to play Salem and Guilford.
