GREENSBORO, N.C. - Methodist took the early 1-0 lead, but Greensboro came from behind won in double overtime 2-1.
Greensboro (9-7-1, 6-2-1) had a 3-2 shot advantage through the 15 minutes of play, but Methodist sophomore
Christine Ellington gave the Monarchs (9-9-1, 5-3-1) a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 20th minute on the assist from senior
Whitney Roberson. The Pride came back and tied it up at one with less than four minutes remaining in the first half.
Greensboro out shot Methodist 7-5 in the second half, but neither team could score, sending the game to overtime. The Monarchs fired off four shots in the first overtime period, but the Pride's Cara Wilcox snuck in the game-winning goal in the 105th minute of play during a scramble in front of the goal.

Kasey Nichols made seven saves while Greensboro's Katie Allegro also had seven stops.
Should Shenandoah defeat Mary Baldwin tonight, the Monarchs will receive the fifth seed in the USA South Tournament sending them to Shenandoah for a first round game on Tuesday. Check back for more updates once the seeding has been finalized.
