DECATUR, Ga. - The Methodist women's soccer won their second straight with a 3-1 victory over Agnes Scott College.
The Monarchs'
Whitney Roberson had the first shot of the game, but the Scotties (2-5) drove back down the field to score the first goal of the game in the fifth minute of play. Methodist (3-4) countered with a goal from senior
Erica Nath on the assist from senior
Ashley Kolano to tie the game in the 31st minute. Less than six minutes later, freshman
Brooke Corley scored the eventual game-winning goal to give the Monarchs the 2-1 lead. Nath put the game away for Methodist with a goal in the 57th minute with an assist from sophomore
Danielle MInichello.
Methodist goalkeepers
Kasey Nichols and
Sara Altman combined in goal with Nichols making five saves. Mary-Kate Laird had eight saves for Agnes Scott.
The Monarchs will take on Spelman tomorrow at 2 pm.
