LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Methodist volleyball team finished the Randolph Invitational with two more wins on Saturday. The Monarchs shut out both teams earning a 3-0 (25-3, 25-6, 25-11) win over Regis and a 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-21) win over Southern Virginia.
Lauren Bramble led the team with 12 kills and no errors against Regis.
Hayley Williams added 12 kills with just two errors while
Kayci Miller dished out 36 assists.
Hillary McPhatter finished with 17 digs and
Jalesty Washington added 10.
Ryanne Greer served up five aces. The team has a whole finished with just five errors in 88 attack attempts for a total hitting percentage of .477.
In the second match, Methodist finished with their third shutout of the weekend. Washington led the team with 15 kills and added 16 digs. Bramble had 13 kills and three aces while
Stephanie Wood added nine kills. Miller finished with 38 assists and McPhatter had 20 digs.
Rachel Evans finished with 13 digs in the match.
Methodist will be back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 19 when they host Meredith College at 7 p.m.
