DEMOREST, Ga. - Cold shooting plagued the Methodist women's basketball team as Piedmont College cruised to the 74-44 win on Friday afternoon.
Piedmont jumped out to the 11-0 lead in the first five minutes of play before Methodist's
Iesha Hayes scored two free throws to put the Monarchs on the board. The Monarchs shot just 3-for-33 in the first half as the Lions jumped out to a commanding 35-8 lead.
The Monarchs came out battling in the second half scoring 36 points, but could not overcome the first half deficit.
Asia Duncan scored a team-high 10 points in 12 minutes of play during the second half. Piedmont finished with the 74-44 win.
In addition to Duncan's 10 points,
Jackie Lyles and #T.T. Taylor# added 10 points a piece.
Methodist will be back in action Jan. 6 when they host Peace College at 7 p.m.
