Box Score NORFOLK, Va. - Virginia Wesleyan College jumped out to the 32-15 halftime lead before finishing with the 55-33 win Tuesday night.

The Marlins opened up a 24-9 lead, but the Monarchs came back with four points from Chandler Christensen and T.T. Taylor to move within 11 points. Virginia Wesleyan responded with a run to lead 32-15 at halftime.

Methodist scored two early baskets in the second half, but the Marlins doubled up on the Monarchs at 42-21. Jackie Lyles scored a basket to cut the lead to 18, but Virginia Wesleyan finished up with the 55-33 victory.

Christina Schrader led the team with nine points while Lyles scored seven points and Taylor scored six points.

The Monarchs will break for the semester before resuming play Jan. 4 at Averett.
