GREENSBORO, N.C. - Greensboro took an early lead and finished with the 69-40 win over Methodsit to advance to the USA South Tournament championship.

The Monarchs' Emily Huneycutt opened the game with a 3-pointer, but turnovers proved costly as Greensboro (26-1) built an 11-5 lead. Methodist (15-12) shot just 6-for-29 from the field in the first half as the Pride took a 37-18 halftime advantage.

Greensboro scored the first six points of the second half, but Methodist's Jordan Tyson broke the run with a layup. The Pride shot better than 50 percent from the field in the second half as they went on to take the 69-40 win.

Brianna Robinson led the team with nine points while Huneycutt finished with eight points. T.T. Taylor and Jackie Lyles had seven points apiece.

Greensboro will face off against Christopher Newport in the championship on Sunday while Methodist finishes their season at 15-12.
