Box Score ASHLAND, Va. - The Methodist defense stopped Randolph-Macon on the first drive but after the Methodist offense stalled, Randolph-Macon put together a 74-yard drive to score the first touchdown of the game with 4:39 remaining in the first quarter. Kyle Norton converted the two-point attempt for the 8-0 Yellow Jacket lead.
Methodist got the ball back, but fumbled for Randolph-Macon to take over at the Methodist 46-yard line. The Yellow Jackets covered 41 yards before the quarter ended and Thaddeus Scruggs finished off with a five-yard run to start the second quarter and Randolph-Macon took the 16-0 advantage.
Methodist could not get a first down and the Yellow Jackets drove back down the field before settling for a 41-yard field goal. The Methodist offense took over on their own 27-yard line to start a drive of their own.
Max Mellon had a 21-yard rush to set up a 27- yard touchdown pass from quarterback

Nathan Kindley.
Tyler Mosko converted the extra point to give Methodist seven points. Neither team could score during the remainder of the half leaving Randolph-Macon with the 19-7 lead at halftime.
Methodist had possession first to start the second half, but when they could not get the first down, Randolph-Macon blocked the punt and recovered in the end zone for a touchdown. The Methodist offense stalled in the second half while the Yellow Jackets went onto score two more touchdowns and a field goal. Randolph-Macon finished with the 43-7 win.
Travis Murphy was 7-for-15 passing for 67 yards to go along with 36 yards rushing.
John Flanagan led the team with 67 yards rushing.
Jacob Hunt paced the Monarchs defensively with 10 tackles while
Navahri Holden and
Roderick Sawyer added eight apiece.
The Monarchs will be back in action next Saturday when they host Guilford at home at 1 p.m.
