With neither team able to wrestle away control of the game and MU clinging to a three-point lead late, Schrader hit a three from the top of the key with the shot clock winding down to put the Monarchs up 62-56 with 34 seconds to play. A Maerz three on the Blazers' ensuing possession pulled Hood back to within three (62-59) but MU's
Iesha Hayes split a pair of free throws with five seconds left to seal the game and Hood was unable to get a final shot off.
