Box Score LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. -- Jessica Rowe scored 45 seconds into the second overtime to lift the Covenant women's soccer team over Methodist, 1-0, on Friday evening.
 
After 90 minutes of scoreless regulation and a scoreless 10 minute overtime period, Rowe dribbled through the Monarch (5-6-1, 3-3 USA South) defense and beat Taylor Ross for the game's only goal less than a minute into the second extra session.
 
Methodist outshot Covenant (6-7-1, 4-2-1), 14-10, including 13-8 in regulation, but was unable to get a ball past the Scots Hannah Bales, who made eight saves in posting the clean sheet. Katie Pedersen and Decaysha Miller each had three shots for MU.
 
Taylor Ross started in goal and took the loss, making one save in 100:45 of play.
 
The Monarchs are back on the pitch on Saturday when they travel to Maryville for a 5:00 pm contest.
